Sincere condolences to the Douglas family, as well as other family and friends. It's tough enough to hear something like this and have no connection other than UT. I cannot imagine their pain. May God bless and give you strength.

Peace be with his family during their darkest days. Where he went to school is irrelevant. Hopefully compassion will overtake those who insist on wearing their colors.

I love UT football but right now it don't mean much. When I read this football is the farthest from my mind. I think about how tough these days must be for AD family and hope they will find strength.

If anyone reads this article and thinks they should post something about football (i.e. where he decided to play), please think some more.

I couldn't agree more. Aaron Douglas' death is tragic. Keep it classy, folks.

R I P Aaron, we wanted more for you from our school but no one wanted this to happen for any reason. God's nearness to your parents and friends. It is a tough time for life and for sports. Life is always the bigger issue, not transfers, not where one ends up attending, not how many starts or honors one gets on the field. I'm done, it is sad.

It might have to do with the fact that out of 147 words you wrote in your first comment, only 12 related to his death and then only in passing.

I couldn't agree more. I was actually about to write the exact same thing. Dude is so burnt of AD's snub to UT by going to Alabama that he feels he's gotta bring it up in the comment section of his freaking memorial press release. Pathetic. Then he tries to cover himself by saying "of course football is no where near as important as life" garbage. A) NO DUH, and B) So important that you feel the need to talk about how he snubbed UT by going to Alabama and only say one OBVIOUS statement that life is more important football...? I was as pissed as any other Vol fan when he committed to out hated rival... BUT WHO GIVES A FLIP considering the poor HUMAN BEING (NOT Vol, NOT Bammer, NOT Rebel) passed away. Sadly this class act relishes AD's death as some kind of karma... he'll deny it, but it drips from his posts.

Praying God gives the family strength for the days and weeks ahead. May they find some kind of peace knowing that so many cared for AD. A life ended far to soon. Weeping last for the night, but joy comes in the morning. God speed David, Karla, and Ashley. You along with Aaron were and are loved by so many.

My prayers to the AD family. Sometimes in death, we don't understand why things happen they way they do, they still happen understandable or not. Aaron is in a much better place. The tragic loss of this young man is going to affect his family and friends for a long time but eventually things will become easier. May God uplift and bless you all in this time of mourning.

If it was inappropiate then I'm ok with it. Mainly off topic which spilling verbage that had nothing to do with article on memorial service. Put the STUFF on another blog that it pertains to.

Prayers to the family and friends for the"peace that surpasses all understanding." Peace the world can't supply with all it's well intentioned efforts....

Censorship is what the government does. Monitor is what the staff of a company that provides us with a free place to express our opinions does. Start your own site if you want no "censorship".

Very sad and tragic for the family and those close friends. Their lives will never be the same. I speak from seeing it happen to my sister who lost her daughter 25 yrs ago to a car wreck. Her life was never the same.
