UT-Vanderbilt kickoff at 7 p.m. on ESPNU

Tennessee's run in primetime hasn't been canceled yet.

A staple of the evening kickoffs and broadcasts this year, the Vols have once again been tabbed for a late start next week against Vanderbilt.

UT will set a school record with its sixth night game of the season on Saturday against No. 8 Arkansas (TV: ESPN2, 6 p.m.), and the conference announced that it will have a chance to add to it with a seventh when it hosts the Commodores on Nov. 19 in a critical conference meeting that will be televised by ESPNU starting at 7 p.m.

Both the Vols and Commodores are still chasing bowl eligibility and currently boast matching 4-5 records, which should add to the intrigue for the instate rivalry in the chase for a postseason appearance.

Go to espn.com and down load espnu to your comp. CDD needs to open all his bag of tricks for this one, need a W over Vandy and UK.

Vol4gzus,

You don't seem nearly as optimistic lately.

Remember, Vandy's 4 wins were with Elon, U Conn, Ole Miss, and Army. On a few other occasions with better oposition, it was close but no cigar.

We have not lost to them yet.......so 'keep the faith.' They have Rodgers, but we just might have 2 gun slingers of our own by then.

Better get used to it. With the SEC's current set of TV contracts, all SEC teams will have all their games televised except one each which will be PPV. There is only one 12:30 SEC game per week, and one 3:30 SEC game. The rest are 7 pm or 8 pm.
The opinions of fans that attend the games don't count for much. Those opinions will matter even less as fewer and fewer fans shell out the big bucks to attend.

So you are having a problem selling your tickets? Imagine a sour grapes un-Vol fan having trouble convincing someone as he un-smiles to buy his tickets. Creating that wonderful atmosphere of despondency breeds great opportunity for economic endeavors like selling tickets huh? Also appreciate your lack of (apparently) disrespect for "ole fans". Oh well see if you can be nice and make someone's day with something other than that sour grapes mode.......

OK..The win over Cinci is a big freakin' deal because they have lost ONLY ONCE..They are the best team in a BCS conference and are ranked..So none of those teams that Vandy beat are not even close to being as good as Cinci.

Smokey says credit should be given for beating a good Cinci team..

Smokey - we beat Cincy with a healthy Bray and Hunter - back when our offense was red hot! This team is not even close to that good anymore. If we played Cincy again, they would beat the Hell out of us.

Our coaches will be BETTER than florida, with the same amount of talent, BOOK IT. That is your saying isn't it? Weren't we suppossed to "book" florida winning the east this year. If Dooley had 5*'s backing up 6*'s he WOULD win the east. THAT'S the difference between the two staffs. It's incredible you two florida kids are still on here. It's called OBSSESSIING over UT football. And it's ridiculous.

I have been going to games a very long time and just honestly can not remember the stands being as empty as they were against MTSU.

For those of you that complain about ticket prices and want to go to a game this is the time for you to go. A friend of mine bought 4 tickets on the 50 yard line, row 12 for $100. Pretty hard to beat that deal. All the scalpers are asking $20 or less for their tickets.

Go Vols

N/O,

Glad to see you here. Nice slam dunk with the kids. You're correct..........Bodeane ( copy cat of the REAL Bodean )is just that, a kid.

Without his heralded trio of Brantley, Demps, and Rainey next year, the kid will be a no show here.

LAPup,

For someone about to be scalded in the SEC CG you need to put a lid on it.

You could run from LSU and Bama in the regular season by not having them on the schedule.........but soon it will be time to pay the piper. Then come back here with your chatter.

Interesting stuff..If you don't think money is all they want visit the concession stands..$4 for a bun and weiner ..and they have the nerve to call it a hot dog..$4 for a cup of ice with very little coke...etc..it's hard to maintain a carnival with no main attraction..

Yes, I'll get home around 1am central. SEC has pretty much reached the point that they don't care if the stadia get filled. If TV says play it at 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning, they'll play it at 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

But I thought that Muschamp and Co. was the greatest staff ever assembled?? So how much time are you giving the Gators coaching staff??

It has yet to be determined about our coaching staff because 21 games isn't long enough for anything to be decided..Next year at this time, if we are still in the same position and have shown no more improvement, then that will be a different story.

And are you guaranteeing that Vandy will beat the Vols?? Do you have a crystal ball?? That's what I thought.

Smokey says come back and thanks for playing..

Its really funny watching UT fans say they will beat Vandy when they couldnt even line up and run over a 112 ranked MTSU team in the second half. Playing a 0-0 tie was horrible. Vandy beat Florida 21-9 in the second half. Vandy also had Arkansas beat. Watch what that Razorpig offense does to UT this weekend. UT has dropped 30 spots in the rankings since the season started and Vandy has moved up 30 spots. Predicting a win over any SEC team after playing MTSU to a second half shutout on offense is hilarious. The Kooliade is about gone, drink up while you can.

Oh, you noticed too... You mean, they (he) doesn't have us all fooled? There's NOT a push to fire Dooley by most Vol fans? Are you saying there's a FEW posers with MULTIPLE screen names trying to make it look like there's a fire Dooley mentality? I think you're on to something...

Look "brett", Dooley will get AT LEAST 4 years. Why, the football challenged "brett" asks? Because genius, after 4 years, Dooley will have a FULL CLASS of HIS players to finally have fixed the debacle caused by Fulmer's firing, and surfer boy's overnite sleep over. That's the MINIMUM amount of time it will take to CORRECT 2001-2009. PERIOD.

How is it that 95% plus of the fanbase understands this, but the "challenged" few don't get it. Maybe it's the cognitive reasoning ability of the 5%. Reckon?

0-8, you trolls wish. And next year, with a healthy Bray, and FINALLY almost as many upperclassmen as underclassmen, we'll go 6-6. I love the spin logic with absolutely NO BASIS for FACT.
