That is the problem Tennessee doesn't score!

I don't really understand taking the redshirt off of Worley in this game, but I feared it was coming after seeing Simms miss on what should have been some relatively easy passes. I guess he felt he didn't have any alternative and went ahead and pulled the trigger. But the game was almost over anyway when he did it. Worley never got any opportunities for many good looks, especially with Marlin Lane fumbling.

Go Vols! This is BOC!!!

...not many teams do against this Alabama defense.

You have to find a way to use your personnel in order to get TDs. Even if that means you have to run the wildcat with Martin, Poole, Rogers, etc. In addition, you can't ride a QB who has struggled in previous games into the ground in the current game until there is no hope of staying competitive. Have a plan B and execute it as soon as there is trouble -- interceptions would indicate trouble. But I guess you can't argue with the experts.

Agree completely. If they are gonna go ahead and make the decision to take off the redshirt, atleast let him try throwing the ball. Shoot, Simms could've easily handed the ball off to Marlin Lane the whole game, which is all they let Worley do.

Of course, CDD had no idea Lane was going to fumble on that run. Who knows what plays might would have been called if that had not have happened. But as for the reason for bringing in Worley at the end of this game: maybe CDD wanted to just give him an opportunity in a real game situation before suddenly starting him next week. I guess that makes sense, but in this instance he never really got any real opportunities. The next possession was on the 6 inch line in our own territory. That is pretty much limited to quick runs and QB sneaks.

O well. We'll see how they bring Worley along. I expect he will be the starter now until Bray returns.

Go Vols! This is BOC!!!
