We knew this day was coming, but it's still rough seeing her go, she was awesome.

God Bless you PAT,you certainly have been the example that all coaches should set.
Thanks for all the great memories you've given all Vol fans.Concentrate on your health, and we hope to see you at many, many LV games.

It is a sad day for Big Orange Nation and for everyone who loves college basketball. Pat has to do what is in her best interest even though we hate to see her go. We were fortunate to have her at Tennessee for as long as we did because she made the Lady Vols the elite program in women's basketball. She has been a great ambassador for the school and our state. I know we all wish her nothing but the best as she battles this awful illness that took her away from the basketball court.

Pat Summitt is one of our nation's finest in any field--a leader in every sense of the word. What a loss to UT and the world of sports. I'm proud to claim Pat as a fellow alumnus of one of those "other" UTs--the University of Tennessee at Martin. She's probably the most accomplished person to ever come out of that school--all of her Pacer alums have her in our thoughts and prayers.

What can you say? Pat is women's basketball. She is the best coach of all time and unfortunately she is having to retire too early. I am excited that I had the opportunity to meet her. She is definately one in a billion.

Thanks for the memories, the coaching, the players you impacted, the coaches, the fun, the rivalries, the wins and the championships.

Without Pat Summitt on the sidelines, women's basketball will never be the same, never.

I will miss her.

Am I missing something or is Clay Travis about as classless as they come? Nice comments, Clay!

....many who reach legend status do not know when to quit and end up leaving a tarnished memory....not Pat its all first class!

She was the best both on and off the court. But I hope everyone is aware of her graduation rate and other academic achievements of the young people that played for her! She IS what every coach dreams to be!
