Senior Amy Harrison enjoyed her second two-goal performance to start the 2012 season and Tori Bailey and Ashlee Burt scored a goal each for the Tennessee women’s soccer team Sunday afternoon.
Their work added up to a 4-1 victory over Western Kentucky at the WKU Soccer Complex in Bowling Green, Ky.
Tennessee (2-0) scored all four goals in the first half as sophomore goalkeeper Julie Eckel played the full 90 minutes and made five saves to pick up her second win of the season. UT has scored eight goals in its first two games this year. Western Kentucky fell to 1-1.
With a fast-paced start, Caroline Brown set up Harrison at the top of the box in the third minute. The senior captain ripped the shot past WKU goalkeeper Nikki Hall to give UT a 1-0 lead.
Bailey broke the 1-1 tie at the nine-minute mark. Brown picked up her second assist of the day and fourth of the season when she found Bailey near the top of the box for a score from 18 yards out.
Harrison, who had never scored more than three goals in a season during her UT career, got her fourth goal of 2012 at 33:18. Kylie Bono sent a corner kick into the center of the box and Harrison headed it into the goal.
Burt extended Tennessee’s lead to 4-1 in the 43rd minute, marking her first goal for the Lady Vols after finishing her undergraduate career at Miami.
Tennessee returns to Regal Soccer Stadium next weekend to play in the First Tennessee Lady Vol Classic. UT will play William & Mary at 8 p.m. Friday and VCU at 3 p.m. Sunday.

So we have a player that is doing the Peyton thing...working on second degree. Three transfers on team that is off to a pleasant start against easy opponents for now. Congrats!!
