Tennessee will be adding two men's tennis players from different parts of the world for the spring season.
Bartosz Sawicki of Poland and Sebastian Yllera of Argentina will join the Vols in January.
Sawicki, who won six doubles titles during his junior career, already has had some success on the ITF Futures tour. In 2010, he won a doubles titles at a Futures event in Poland, teaming with current Vol Mikelis Libietis.
Bartosz is an extremely talented player with a great deal of international experience," UT coach Sam Winterbotham said. "... With his personality, I could see him taking on a real leadership role with this team when he arrives."
Yllera, who uses a two-handed backhand, was among the top young players in Argentina in 2011, finishing No. 2 in the 18s age division.
"Sebastian brings an added level of skill and maturity to this team," Winterbotham said. "He's someone we'll definitely rely on when he gets settled into college tennis and the whole college environment."
