NASHVILLE - Vanderbilt will be home for the holidays.
The Commodores learned on Sunday their bowl destination will be a couple of miles from campus in the Music City Bowl where they will face North Carolina State on Dec. 31 at LP Field (11 a.m., ESPN).

Boring. I hate conference bowl tie ins. The same 5 or 6 bowl hames over and over. It is time to end the bowl games except for the ones that lead to a National Championship game.

if we would've went 8-4 and went to Nashville again...ugh... we've tasted the greatness of yearly SEC and National title contention that Philip Fulmer brought to Tennessee and anything less ....... sorry...... just not interested......

I agree. They should be in Jacksonville. Another problem with the bowl system...its all based on money...number of tickets the team will commit to buying...perception of how to the the fan base will travel, etc. None of which the players control...they're the ones that get the shaft.

My first reaction was the same, but when you look at the bowl schedule, I don't see a better bowl with a weaker team, except maybe the Gator Bowl which would be a rematch with Northwestern. Maybe we just aren't giving our Music City Bowl enough credit.
