Butch Jones to hold UC team meeting Friday morning

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati football coach Butch Jones has reportedly scheduled a meeting with his players Friday morning.

9 News sports director John Popovich expects Jones to hold a brief meeting with his players early Friday morning at an athletic building on UC’s campus.

What will be discussed during the meeting has not been formally released but given the happenings of the past week, the discussion will likely focus on Jones’ immediate future with the Bearcats.

On Thursday, Jones reportedly turned down a five-year, $135 million contract offer to become the head football coach at the University of Colorado. Jones also met with officials from Purdue University to discuss that school’s vacant head coaching position.

Uh, don't think he turned down a "5 year $135 million" contract. That's NBA, baseball money. 27 million a year. He must be gooooood!
