Vols,

How about a poll to ask readers if we like a poll every other day..........just to fill up space?

What if we do or don't like the hires?

They have worked together with success for several years. They'll do just fine

Let's face it folks....

This is a YOUTH BASED LEAGUE. The NFL has become so...and so has the NCAA. There has been a sohp and a frosh Heisman winner in the past few years. With parity in the D1 ranks being more prevalent than ever...it is clear that COACHING is the determining factor. Yes...it helps to have several big time recruits. But...I watched a 3* from aTm bust up BAMA.

Look at these 1st and 2nd year players rocking the vets in the NFL. Look at the young kids in college setting records.

Butch...you got 3 years. Just like Dooley did. Let's go!

sixstringmadness writes:

What's it matter if we approve of the coaching staff CBJ has assembled?

These polls are becoming boring and remedial. Maybe a poll to see what the next poll should be is fitting....

For the record, I approve of the Vols beating Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and the rest of the SEC as well as other ranked opponents whether it be CBJ & Co or The Mickey Mouse Club.

Put that in your poll and vote on it......

sixstringmadness writes:

BTW, if we hired Nick Saben as HC, Bill Belichick as DC and Jon Gruden as OC there would still be Vol fans who disapprove.... Just in case you were thinking of such a poll......

claiborneh writes:

Whoever makes these poll questions up, they are most often lame. Why would the typical reader know anything about the coaching fraternity other than what you maybe told them. Are you "satisfied"? Really? Get real, what the heck is that suppose to provide a reader? Are you polling a bunch of coaching experts out there?
Please ask more insightful poll questions or just don't ask anymore, because you are wasting time and space.

What if CBJ's assembled a staff of all former HC's from the NFL?? Some idiot would whine about their winning %..The ultimate grading will occur after the 2013 season, not before. I couldn't care less who CBJ assembles on his staff as long as he's comfortable with them and they are comfortable with their role. It seemed Dooley's staff was never on page with his scheme and philosophy..JAT.

Your request for 'interesting and informative' is a stretch for most of these kns hacks.

Just take another meaningless poll, does not require thought, research or current facts about what is going on with the team.

Also not much competition that would cause them to concern themselves with such minor quality details.

I agree. I can't call a total failure without seeing a few games next year but by no means it is the best staff in the country, not even close to the best staff in the SEC, maybe the fourth best staff in the ACC if they were there. Hadn't really heard of too many and the ones that I am familiar with were let go by other SEC coaches. TN will never get out of debt paying off coaches if JONES doesn't turn around quick. Hope for everyones case he can, but I seriously have my doubts.

D All of the above.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if this is the best staff in the country. First measure will be what kind of recruits we get. Second measure will be how the games are managed (remember all the mistakes Dooley made?). Third measure will be won-lost record. If the staff is not doing well on 1 and 2, then I hope Hart will not say it's because he's new and he needs more time is the reason the won-lost record is not improving. Hart should have moved much quicker with Dooley in my opinion..that's his job. If Jones is not doing well but Hart sticks with him because he signed him to a contract he cannot afford to terminate, then I hope boosters will know what to do in regards to Hart. We shall see.

The boosters have spoken and according to them, they could care less what a few vanderbilt commodore fans think. Azzanni is a good hire. He did a good job with the WR's at UF when he was there. Good recruiter too.

Only issue I see is he is very upwardly mobile and will bolt for an OC position when he can. But then, almost all coaches are like that, so it is what it is.

OrangePride writes:

Truth be told, even under good circumstances, it is difficult to lure top quality assistants with big names from their current positions....and these times are not "good circumstances." So, CBJ has really done well to gather the mix of people we have. Would have been nice if Tee hadn't kind of strung us along here, but we will still do nicely. I see Price is staying on for his senior year....that's BIG. My other hope is that perhaps CP will do likewise, but that's perhaps just wishful thinking. We still have a LOT of work to do now to fill out this recruiting class. It's weak right now. GO GET EM CBJ!

Not sure where you get your facts, certainly not in football titles, friend. Alabama last year alone won national championships in: football, softball, women's gymnastics, and women's tennis. Alabama has fourteen football national championships, the most SEC football championships and is working on a fifteen in football. So, you must be counting swimming or something.

Please enlighten us. Which of these coaches were "let go" by other SEC coaches?

There are several who left other SEC programs, but they did so because the head coach they were working for was fired, except for a couple who were hired away, like Jay Graham. I can't think of any of them who were fired by the SEC coach they were working for, or by any coach they were working for, for that matter.

Lizard grad,

Pretty cordial post. You see Vol fans, all rival fans aren't as troll oriented as the 'title town'.

This troll spent endless hours coming up with his little list of so-called championships. Roll Tide Joe........you are one of the classier Alabama commentators here. Having said that, we do acknowledge the number of championships the Tide has won.....unlike anything the bandwagon Title village is suggesting. We pretty much all agree, we're talking football here. In fact as Alabama, LSU, Georgia, and Tennessee people in particular,
are well aware.........Florida is basically a Johnny come lately football program. You other programs were all household names with regard to winning championships.........and can claim something the lizards have never been able to do...........possess an undefeated season.

We have a lot of kidding on this site......and once again, from the classier programs..........Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc. With the exception of Lizard grad, the overwhelming number of Florida posters are basically bandwagon trolls.......always trying to stir things up, and sounding rather silly attempting to do so. Therefore, it goes without saying, there aren't many classy comments coming the majority of the lizard stalkers. They're simply consumed with this particular site, and Tennessee especially.

Naval oranges, I don't beleive he is as much a florida fan, as he is a vandy peabody fan. That is the hatred motivation that keeps him coming back every day. This is the same m.o. for a typical peabody fan. If you want to get his goat, keep pounding peabody and duke, his other school.
