KNOXVILLE — Christmas amid change is nothing new for Butch Jones and his family.

Tennessee's new football coach faced uncertainty during the holiday season six years ago, when now-Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly left Central Michigan for Cincinnati. Nearly three weeks later, the Chippewas hired Jones as his successor in early January.

Three years ago, Cincinnati named Jones to replace Kelly nine days before Christmas.

Though he's had 18 days between taking the Volunteers' job and today's holiday, Jones has been busy getting things established at UT while keeping up with his wife, Barb, and sons Alex, Adam and Andrew — aged 16, 12 and 5 — in Cincinnati.

Good to see CBJ take time to sit down and talk with some of the reporters. I have noticed he hasn't taken time to sit down with John Adams and I suppose he most likely won't. I am sure coach is aware of the useless Adams and the poison he spews. GO BUTCH JONES AND GO VOLS!

The more I read, the more I learn about Coach Jones the more impressed I am. I know it's hard on the family, not only his but all of the coaches. Unlike the previous administration where the staff really had no cohesiveness, this group has for the most part been together and I think it will serve us well. I remember those lessons well, "Remember who you are", don't do anything that will bring disrespect to the family. Merry Christmas to you all.

The word "USED" in your title is not properly used here.Check Psalm 119:132 an find the word "USEST" is proper since we emphasize the "ST" in speech.

Has anybody really studied these terrible 3 star players. I was fortunate enough to play HS ball with two former vols (Hamilton and Buxton) that didnt even have stars oh yeah they got National Championship rings and both were juco recruits. Does anybody remember Deon Grant how many stars did he have? Since when did stars have anything to do with hard work, dedication, encouragement, and try (none of which you possess John Adams). Some of you may not be aware that any team takes on the face of its leadership. Butch Jones obviously possesses these things, before the first ball is snapped I suggest alot of vol nation take a chill pill and let his team go to work for the betterment of our beloved nation.

USED is correct in the context of the title, meaning accustomed or habituated to the holiday shuffle.

Usest is Elizabethan English and is not used by journalists or writers today.

I'm just a country boy with a public school education, but it seems to me "use to" is correct in modern American English. I guess in the end, does it rally matter on a sports forum.

Just having some fun with the word used, since the only time I have ever seen the word "USEST" used is in Psalms.
Merry Christmas to all and tomorrow we will get back to GOVOLS.

CBJ best be getting his rear end in gear and get some recruits because according to Rivals, we are ranked 12 out of 14 in the SEC. That is pathetic.

Graduate assistant at Bama. Responsible for maintaining the recruiting data base and film production during the evaluation process.

Worse yet Tennessee is ranked around 42 in the country. Bradley looks like he is gone and he is one of the very few 4 star recruits that we had comitted. At least Dooley held onto and added to a top 15 class when Kiffin bolted. Dooley's classes were consistently around the top 15 and that did not get it done.
So we will soon see how the best coaching staff in College Football will perform as a recruiting machine. Right now we are somewhere between 42 and suck city.
