Lady Vols spring soccer schedule released

Newly named Tennessee women's soccer coach Brian Pensky won't have to wait long to see how the Lady Vols look on the field.

UT announced an ambitious spring soccer schedule on Tuesday with games against Western Carolina, Cincinnati and Wake Forest in addition to matches with Tennessee Tech and Middle Tennessee as host of the annual Tennessee Collegiate Classic on April 14 at Regal Soccer Stadium.

"The spring is always an exciting time, as it essentially marks the beginning of next fall's season," Pensky said in a UT release. "Certainly this particular spring is vital for our team, as we are all getting to know each other, both on and off the field. And these games will give us a good feel for where we stand as a team heading into the summer."

UT hosts Western Carolina on Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. and Cincinnati comes to Knoxville on March 10 with game time at 3 p.m. The Lady Vols travel to Wake Forest on April 21.

Teams participating in the day-long Tennessee Collegiate Classic are Tusculum College, Maryville College, MTSU, Vanderbilt, Lee University, Tennessee Tech, UT Martin, Belmont, Austin Peay and Lincoln Memorial University.
