New Jacksonville Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey has completed his staff by hiring former University of Tennessee player Tom Myslinski as strength and conditioning coach.
Myslinski played nine seasons in the NFL and then spent the last seven years as a strength and conditioning coordinator, beginning at Robert Morris (2005-06) and continuing with the Cleveland Browns (2007-09), Memphis (2010) and North Carolina (2011).
An offensive lineman at Tennessee, Myslinski earned eight varsity letters in football and track and field. He was a first-team All-SEC and honorable-mention All-America selection in 1991. He started at guard for two consecutive SEC championship teams (1989, 1990). He was also a member of UT's NCAA Champion track and field team in 1991. Myslinski earned a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology in 1992 and was a two-time Academic All-SEC member. He later earned his master's degree from Pittsburgh in exercise physiology.
While playing in the NFL, Myslinski served as a volunteer assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Pittsburgh (1998-2001). Prior to his stint at Pitt, he spent 1996 as the volunteer strength and conditioning coach at the University of North Florida.

Two Words: Mike Hamilton

I don't remember him. Haslam, not Hamilton, didn't remember him either. He was not a Getwork guy. Buy into the Getwork, and get hired by rotation when your name comes up and a position comes up. If one wants in the SEC, one must pay the Getwork. The NFL does not have a Getwork. The Pack 10 Getwork is back. The Big 12 and the Big 10 Getwork broke up three years ago.

Tom Myslinski is a very recognizable name...part of one era of offensive linemen at Tennessee that takes a backseat to no other...he started my personal philosophy that programs needed linemen especially guards with"ski" in them...didn't realize his resume was so stacked...he definitely deserved an interview
