Justin Hunter, Da'Rick Rogers on Biletnikoff Award watch list

University of Tennessee junior wide receivers Justin Hunter and Da'Rick Rogers were both named to the Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list on Tuesday.

The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the outstanding receiver in college football and is selected by a national selection committee consisting of more than 180 journalists, commentators, and former players.

Hunter caught 17 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns before suffering a torn ACL against Florida that ended his season a year ago. He averaged 151 yards receiving in his first two games and his combined 302 yards receiving against Montana and Cincinnati were the most by a UT receiver in a season's first two games in school history.

Rogers was an All-SEC First Team selection by The Associated Press and a second team selection by the coaches last season after leading the conference with 1,040 yards receiving and finishing second in the league with both 67 receptions and nine receiving touchdowns.

No Tennessee player has won the Biletnikoff Award. Three players were semifinalists, including Joey Kent (1996), Kelley Washington (2001), and Robert Meachem (2006).

How many other teams have 2 receivers on this list? Our backups will get plenty of reps this year as we will have many large leads going into the 4th qtrs.

And it just keeps getting better! Apparently no trolls on the BA selection committee.

Interesting that no Vol has won the bkof trophy with the laundry list of hof college and pro wrs Tenn has boasted. Seems like their have been more outland trophy winners from UT than any other position, but I could be wrong.

We have 2 great wide receivers, a good QB and an experienced offensive line returning.

If we just had a decent coach, a running game and a defense who could stop somebody we might win some games again.

Vols,

And...........if we didn't have trolls using the words "us and we" wouldn't it be great?

born 2 be an impostor strikes again.

Still no running game = Loco getting crushed. More of the same.

I have read Born2ride's past comments and it doesn't seem to me like he is a troll. Just a negative vol fan. Although, trolls have been known to deceive. Lets try and be optimistic here vols! If you need help in doing that just watch my latest videos or talk to the more optimistic fans.
Dooley is in the hot seat but I have to give him one more season, before I start judging his coaching ability. As far as I can tell, not one of us on these comment boards are, or have been at some point, a football coach. So as not to judge a coach too quickly, lets not complain too much and see what he does this year. I would much rather be optimistic about the future of UT than to sit around and worry. Worrying will only make it hard to enjoy the game of football. Don't get me wrong here, Im just as concerned about UT as any vol fan but I stay Optimistic. Go Vols!

I just cant stop thinking how great the UT passing game can and should be.
If Chaney does not see what he has then he is blind.
Give the run game a try and run more than a handful of run plays but if eventuallt it does not work then go with what works.
Bray is as accurate as any QB in the country and UT has possibly the best WR group in the country.
Also, Zach Rogers has no right to see the fielf this season. DaRick, Hunter, Patterson, Dallas, Bowles, Howard.... No more of the 2nd best "Rogers WR", please! Too much? Maybe, Develope that talent. There s planty of it.

GO VOLS

And that was a word direct from our Summer's Eve representative.

"We have 2 great wide receivers, a good QB and an experienced offensive line returning."

When Coach Dooley first walked on campus two years ago we had nothing.
Not bad for two years says I.

"If we just had a decent coach, a running game and a defense who could stop somebody we might win some games again."

Do I really need to respond to this?

You're not a Vol fan. Why do you say we?

WE are of the Vol Nation! As far as Im concerned, saying WE in every sentence that involves UT football is perfectly ok! At least for me anyway. Unless you are suggesting that orange_gravy is a troll. In that case, don't say we. :D
I always feel like when UT losses, I myself feel the hurt, pain and disappointment along with the team. call me crazy but if you ask me, thats just called being a true vol and having true love for college football. WE will be the underdogs and WE will over come! Go Vols!

West Virginia is the only other team with two receivers on the list.
