Lauren Gibson helps U.S. make medal round

Tennessee second baseman Lauren Gibson went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs in a 14-1 victory in four innings Thursday over Argentina to help the USA Softball Team finish 7-0 in round-robin play at the ISF World Championships in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada.

Gibson is hitting .692 with 9 RBIs. The U.S. will play today at 8 p.m. in the medal round.

.692.........?? I hope we are all taking note......if she hits like that in #4 or #5 in our lineup she'll have lots of RBI's. Trouble is SEC has LOTS of talented pitchers that overall she may not face in the Canada cup or world championship. Regardless she's wearing it out.
