Tennessee power forward Jarnell Stokes scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds as the USA Basketball U18 men's team scored an 81-56 victory over Brazil in the gold-medal game of the FIBA Americas U18 championship on Wednesday night.
The U.S. team went 5-0 in the competition, which was held in Sao Sebastiáo do Paraiso, Brazil.
Stokes was 5-of-9 shooting against the Brazilians, and the 22 minutes, 26 seconds that he played was third-most on the team. The U.S. team outscored Brazil by 20 points during the time Stokes was on the floor, according to the official statistics.
Stokes finished the tournament averaging 14.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. He shot 69 percent from the floor and 44 percent from the free-throw line.
The U.S. team has qualified for the 2013 FIBA U19 World Championship.
