Former Farragut High School shortstop and current Tennessee signee A.J. Simcox has been named a High School All-American by Baseball America.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Simcox batted .460 this past season for Farragut, as well as tallying nine home runs, 13 doubles, four triples, 17 walks and 45 RBIs.

Baseball America selected four infielders to its first team. Simcox was one of four chosen to the second team.

Simcox is the son of former Tennessee assistant coach Larry Simcox.
