With 14½ minutes remaining in a close game, Shekinna Stricklen walked toward the Tennessee bench and into harm’s way.

She had committed her third foul of the game on a foolish push-off and had compounded that mistake by missing a contested shot.

On her way to a seat on the Lady Vols bench, Stricklen encountered The Stare.

We have missed that focus and stare so much! Great to see it again. She is just a great coach, always has been, always will be. I do hope she chooses to go out at the appropriate time for the program.

We love you Pat!

Pat has her good days and I wish they'd find a cure for the horrible disease she and so many others are fighting. One of my uncles died from it, and it was horrible for his family to witness. That was many years ago and I hope new treatments will make for better outcomes for today's patients.

Basketball has been a huge part of her life, but my hope is that she is able to enjoy many good years after the ball stops bouncing.

Sir wigmeister Coach Summitt will do the right thing for UT and you need not worry yoself concerning such. Tough lady featherettes today is bigger challenge than vandyrettes was. High pressure defense in yo face constantlty. I said in prior posties..A game and nothing less or we leave tourney one step too early...

Don't click on the link. This is two weeks in a row Climer has written a positive Pat article. He's just sucking up for that trash he wrote a few weeks ago.

That stare was good in its time and place but womens college basketball has moved into a new era and unfortunately it has caught up with the Lady Vols.. Several teams with more talent and better today than the LV... Pat was great for UT and womens basketball overall and will go down as one of the greatest... In the past, Pat has surrounded herself with the best talent, and with the stare and sub-par game plans she won hundreds of games.. She has to be given lot of credit for fostering better basketball on the High School level which feeds the colleges and as result there are seveal teams now qualifed to win the National Championship and unfortunately or maybe fortunately Pat has instilled an interest that now has several teams on the same par or above with the Lady Vols.. You did good Pat, but its time to acknowledge what you have created and move on to enjoy life outside the Lady Vols.
