The Tennessee women's basketball team made sure Pat Summitt's graduation rate will remain perfect forever.
Seniors Briana Bass and Shekinna Stricklen went through graduation ceremonies this week. Bass received a bachelor's degree in education with a major in recreation and sport management. Stricklen received a batchelor's degree in sociology. Stricklen, a rookie with the WNBA's Seattle Storm, was able to take a break from training camp and attended Friday's graduation ceremony.
Fifth-year player Vicki Baugh earned her master's degree in kinesiology and sport studies with a concentration in sports psychology. Baugh was in training camp with the WNBA's Tulsa Shock.
Fellow seniors Glory Johnson and Alicia Manning had completed their four-year degree requirements early. Johnson completed her undergraduate degree in three years.
Likewise, juniors Taber Spani and Kamiko Williams graduated a year early. Spani received her bachelor's in communications while majoring in communications studies and is expected to start graduate school in the fall. Williams graduated with a bachelor's in sociology and plans to pursue a second degree in psychology as she completes her eligibility next season.
Summitt's son, Tyler, received his bachelor's degree in communications, completing his studies in three years. Tyler begins his coaching career on May 21 as an assistant women's coach at Marquette.
Summitt stepped down as the Lady Vols coach on April 18 to become a head coach emeritus with the program. During Summitt's 38 years, every player who completed her four years of eligibility earned a degree.

This is the greatest accomplishment of her long career. I also think this is one record that won't be equaled. It is a testament to CPS and the wonderful women who have played for her and our university.

Two shortsighted drips: Together they have stirred up hornets' nests, following Roy Adams' truthful challenging of Dooley in Memphis @ the UT caravan.Fact is, Dooley barely says hello to UT NFLers from Memphis. Dooley's stupidity makes it hard on Martin w/Memphis players. There are several 4 -5 stars every year fm Memphis.
With Stokes UT should be racking up Memphis recruiting...but these two moderators & Dooley make it very difficult, due to ill will underwritten by Gridpoop mismanagement.

The only way UT wins recruiting wars in Memphis is for Gridpoop to shut up, & stop stirring up rednecks who deliberately offend Memphis & West Tennessee readers. With Memphis/West Tennessee Athletes, UT is far more competitive than without. Just that simple:
Clear current
Stokes current
Clifton all-AM
Williams all-Am
Wilson all-Am
& others every year who are 4-star & better going to other SEC & other schools-who could be recruited to UT, if the daxxed rednecks on Gridpoop & in East Tennessee won’t keep their mouths shut.
Nobody wants to go to a place w/an ignorance quotient high as those two moderators protect from EastTennessee.
I hope to hexx that board owner wakes up & stops their covering up UT’s screwups, & lets real world recruiting losses in Memphis & surrounding area that UT coaches are racking up in recruiting, be the force pressuring UT.
Otherwise Gridpoop is trouble for everybody but those who are troubled.
