Tennessee dominated the first quarter but has only a 7-7 tie to show for it.
The Vols got a 5-yard touchdown run from Cordarrelle Patterson but Missouri answered when Jimmie Hunt returned the ensuing kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown.
The Vols' defense kept Missouri under control. Tennessee's offense was hurt when Marlin Lane fumbled at the Mizzou 8 and when Michael Palardy missed a 42-yard field goal.

If they win out, I think Dooley will be retained. However, I just don't see how he can justify keeping Sanseri. I don't doubt that this guy is a good football coach, but I don't think he was ready for this job.

Good performance today so far, but we need coaches who can compete against many ranked teams every season, and win at least some.
