Tennessee dominated the first quarter but has only a 7-7 tie to show for it.

The Vols got a 5-yard touchdown run from Cordarrelle Patterson but Missouri answered when Jimmie Hunt returned the ensuing kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown.

The Vols' defense kept Missouri under control. Tennessee's offense was hurt when Marlin Lane fumbled at the Mizzou 8 and when Michael Palardy missed a 42-yard field goal.

NICE! Way to avenge Patterson, Vols!!

How 'bout them Vols!?!?!?

Patterson has got skills to pay the bills!!
We need him back next year. Graduate from UT young man and make us proud. Same goes for Bray. Next season we should be a top ten team. Dooley and Sal, I'm glad you got it fixed but your hole is too big. Even if you win out.

The ref that called the Patterson penalty should never ref another game. Absolute insanity.

Most ridiculous call I have seen this season . Like how they came right back to Rivera though . Way to shove it in their face.

Poor, poor, poor officiating!!

worst call of the season was made against patterson, ref should be fired on the spot for making that call!

385 yards with 4 to go in the 1st half! Mizzou 29 yards ... total!

got to say that dooley did a solid job preping the defense for this game

If they win out, I think Dooley will be retained. However, I just don't see how he can justify keeping Sanseri. I don't doubt that this guy is a good football coach, but I don't think he was ready for this job.

Yeah, and that's even with Mizzou getting help from the zebras! GBO!!!

Dominating statistically and only ahead by 14. This defense needs a 42 point cushion.

GBO!!! Looked great the first half, with the exception of that kick return. Can't ask the defense to play much better than they have so far. I've been a naysayer, but the D is looking way better right now.

But Mizzou hasn't lit it up offensively this year have they? Also read where Al Wilson and Leonard Little are in the house today. Maybe they delivered some pre-game incentives. Wish we could hire Wilson he would be a major addition to the staff, IMHO.

Whoo Wee! That's the way you do it. Please don't break my heart again Vols. I love this Big 12 style offense, especially with a SEC defense! Just lose the penalties.
GBO! I want a Bowl Game!

It's all good....Still another half to go. Hopefully the D can keep it up for another half! GBO!!

Good performance today so far, but we need coaches who can compete against many ranked teams every season, and win at least some.

If UT wins out ...it's going to be hard to justify not giving Dooley another year..and this defense ain't what we been seeing..if it keeps up..UT will win out...

It's not hard to justify at all. Look at our SEC record the past 2 years.

They are also not Troy. They are at least as good as Troy but probably better. Try being like the others and admit the improvement.

KingDanno (Inactive) writes:

You all have 1 good half against Mizzou and that is supposed to make up for freakin piss poor performances against all our rivals. You have some phooey memories!

Crow tastes nasty. I will shut up now.

Troy? THE SUNBELT CONFERENCE!
I'll admit improvement when we beat a ranked team idiot. And it will probably be without Dooley!
