Tennessee Stat Book
Tennessee leads 21-7 after totally dominating the first half against Missouri. At the half, UT had 383 yards of offense to Missouri's 64.
The Vols added a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter, the first a 3-yard run by A.J. Johnson to cap a 73-yard drive.
The 14-7 lead expanded soon after UT's surprising defense forced another three-and-out.
Tyler Bray's 21-yard TD pass to Mychal Rivera made it 21-7.
Missouri didn't cross into Tennessee territory until the final minutes of the half.
Tennessee dominated the first quarter but had only a 7-7 tie to show for it.
The Vols got a 5-yard touchdown run from Cordarrelle Patterson but Missouri answered when Jimmie Hunt returned the ensuing kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown.
The Vols' defense kept Missouri under control. Tennessee's offense was hurt when Marlin Lane fumbled at the Mizzou 8 and when Michael Palardy missed a 42-yard field goal.
