Georgia picks up 2 guards on early signing day

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Georgia has landed a pair of guards on the opening day of the early signing period.

The Bulldogs announced Wednesday that point guard J.J. Frazier from Glennville, Ga., and shooting guard Juwan Parker of Tulsa, Okla., will play for the team next season.

The 5-foot-9 Frazier averaged 26.2 points, 4.9 assists and 3.1 steals at Faith Baptist Christian Academy last season. He is considered one of the state's top point guard prospects.

Parker is a 6-4 player who averaged 20.5 points and 9.4 points as a junior at Booker T. Washington High School. He is rated the nation's No. 30 shooting guard prospect by Scout.com.

Parker's older brother, Jason, starred at Tulsa from 2000-04 and was coached there by current Georgia assistant Kwanza Johnson.
