The NCAA announced Sunday that the Tennessee Lady Vols volleyball team will face Michigan in the first round of the NCAA tournament Thursday at 5 p.m. in Louisville, Ky. If Tennessee wins it will face the winner of No. 10 Louisville-Belmont on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in a game that will also be played in Louisville.

Unlike last season, UT was not picked as a host site for the first two rounds. The Lady Vols are in the Berkeley, Calif., regional. No. 2 Stanford is the top-ranked team in the regional.

Tennessee (22-7) was selected to the tournament for a school-record fifth year in a row. They last faced Michigan in 2009, a 3-1 loss. Last season, the Lady Vols reached the second round of the NCAA tournament, beating Duke before falling 3-2 to Ohio State in Knoxville.

Michigan went 23-11 this season and was 6-0 in neutral sites and 12-2 in non-conference games.
