Anybody read where Dorial Green-Beckam was suspended today along with 4 other teammates for MJ possession? Maybe is was a good omen we didn't get him.

Tennessee current recruiting list is terrible. The only SEC team with lower rating is Kentucky. Our average rating is 2.84 on a 5 star scale. You don't have to ask why we are bad when you look at the caliber player we are recruiting now. This has been for the last 4 years and now we have a roster that is more like a ACC, Big East team. You couple that with a staff that turns over more often than a cheap steak and you see where we are. Derek Dooley was a disaster in recruiting. Our reputation did not provide the firepower for him to recruit quality SEC talent. I am afraid we are in for several more years of bottom dweller status in the SEC east. Georgia, Florida, SC, and now Vanderbilt we are fighting with Kentucky to stay out of the last seat. Even with a home run new coach he will be having to put the team together with duct tape and bailing wire and that will not hold up. Everyone seemed to think that CDD was building the program and setting the stage for future championships. He might have been effective in the vols for life, academic tutoral etc. but the actual players he brought in were pathetic.
