Dupree, who plans to sign during the NCAA signing period in November, will be a two-way player for MTSU.

Last season, the left-hander had a 5-4 record, 1.93 ERA, seven complete games, two shutouts and 63 strikeouts in 54 innings as a junior. At the plate, Dupree had a .303 average with seven doubles, one triple, team-high six home runs, 27 RBIs and 25 walks

When you cannot make the grades at UT you transfer to MTSU. It is not how you play but can you pass the courses offered to players only.

Spin. You had the most successful coach by far in school history and 4th all time in SEC history and you fired him. Thanks Hamilton.

Now you make Dooley type excuses for baseball also. Do the excuses ever end at UT?

UGGG, Maybe him think " Better to be big fish in little pond than small fry in big ocean. " I'd say the boy probably has some self confidence issues and feels he can get more playing time and be more competetive playing MTSU's schedule. Nothing wrong with that. His choice. Good Luck to him.

Really, know what you are talking about. There's no transfer, he is a senior in high school.

Speaking of excuses...you predicted Vandy would beat USC but now we see they are off chasing their usual 2-10 season. Do I hear crickets?

So will we loose all the good players in every sport? Someone needs to do something . The most obvious sign of stupidity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result lets do something.

If UT baseball got the top 5 players in this area each year and the top 5 players from the state's JR colleges they would win more than they do.

Every one of your comments is the same. Do you expect different results?

If he doesn't want to go to UT, then we don't want him here. Good luck making it to Omaha at MTSU, though.

Personally sometimes kids change there mind on the coaching staff. Tennessee has to make 7 cuts still this year to get to the number of players allowed. Normally when a kid sees that they think about the coaches loyalty. Plus with athletics as long as you have a 3.0 and a 22 on the act and get cleared by the NCAA clearing house you can get it accepted into any college. So grade have nothing to do with it.
