1- The Game After: Even if Tennessee covers the spread and then some against 34-point underdog Akron, it won't make folks feel any better about the Florida loss. But the Vols certainly don't want to piddle around and make things worse. Winning big is the safe plan.

2- Fresh Faces: Look for several freshmen to get snaps, especially in the secondary that is reshaping after a rough night against Florida that included the loss of safety Brian Randolph. LaDarrell McNeil, Deion Bonner and Daniel Gray need to get up to speed before a brutal run of SEC games.

3- Turn On the Turnovers: An aggressive defense producing turnovers was the good-news story against N.C. State. The past two games, though, take-aways have slowed to a trickle. Back-up Geraldo Orta had the only interception against Georgia State, and Florida played turnover-free. The way Akron throws the ball around, there will be chances tonight.

4- Run Some Clock: Akron's only chance is to have success throwing the ball, keeping UT's defense on the field and hoping for a breakdown. A good counter would be a time-consuming, chain-moving running game. Are the Vols up to it?

5- State of Ohio: The Vols haven't been beaten by a team from the Buckeye State since 1904. The winning streak hit 12 with the romp over Cincinnati last year.

The biggest things are in no particular order:

1. Win
2. Get a big lead to get young players playing time
3. Work out the issues prior to the Georgia game.
4. Win

Go Vols

Click "suggest removal." Let's see how fast we can get KNS to ban Jeffy's new screen name.

I'm not sure I recognize any of these psychics on here. But I'm relatively new on the football site myself. Soooo I assume we're all real UT fans on here and not some "plant" to encourage posting. NOT that I'm totally against KNS posting a bit on their articles as the writers have opinions too. Maybe they too have real opinions. Maybe people really aren't trolls that see absolutely no hope for the future of any thing orange in Tennessee.
Maybe we can somehow get this site turned back to the sport involved and not to bashing each other to death all bloody-like!

Flowers.....you were born in Alabubba. You now live in Florida. I hear both of those states have good football teams. Shouldn't you root for one, if not both, of them and leave the Vols alone? Remember, you only got into UT because of Richmond so its not like UT really wanted you. Chuck Rohe told me you were a run-of-the-mill athlete. Is that why you are such a bitter old man? Or is it just plain Dooley jealousy?

Richmond and CDD are everything Jeffy is not.

Are you serious??????? Why don't you root for LaTech because they win about as often as we do.

We should all be hoping dooley loses to akron so we can get his joke of a coach azs out of knoxville. Shouldn't have hired Kiffnin, really shouldn't have hired dooley. Now the AD is losing money and we can't afford a real coach. We will not be in the top 10 this decade.
