Keep Up With Jones: If the 2012 Nagursky Trophy were awarded today, Georgia's Jarvis Jones would be the winner. The outside linebacker is a terror (4.5 sacks already) and Tennessee will have to get creative to prevent Jones from creating havoc.
Welcome Back Dan: Mammoth Dan McCullers is fresh since his skills didn't fit defending Akron last week. Today the Vols need Big Dan to hunker down and hold the middle against the Dawgs' potent rushing game and SEC leader Todd Gurley.
Get Picky: Georgia can run and throw and it adds up to an SEC-leading 530 yards of offense a game. The Vols will need turnovers — several of them — to get the defense off the field. A three-interception game against Akron last week was a preview of what's needed today.
Upset Special: Tennessee has a history of springing surprises in Sanford Stadium, more so than at any other major SEC rival's home turf. Starting in 1992 and as recently as 2006, Tennessee has escaped from between the hedges with a victory dance. Could be coincidence but it could also be some mysterious electromagnetic portal that energizes orange.
On the Other Foot: In a departure from the past few years, the Bulldogs are breaking in freshmen at kicker and punter. If Derrick Brodus stays unflappable and accurate, this category would swing Tennessee's way.
