At least capacity-wise, the Tennessee men’s basketball game Dec. 14 against Wichita State just got a little bigger.
The Vols and Shockers will meet at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kan. The game will be at 2 p.m. and televised on ESPN2.
Wichita State normally plays its game on-campus at Charles Koch Arena (capacity 10,512). Intrust holds 15,000 and is used for concerts and other events.
The game will still count as a road game in RPI and strength of schedule rating for Tennessee.
The Shockers have played a game at the arena each of the past three years, beating Tulsa, UAB and Southern Miss, respectively.
Tennessee beat Wichita State at Thompson-Boling Arena last season 69-60. The Shockers went on to reach the Final Four.
