Vols have pair of dates on Super Tuesday

The SEC has yet to unveil its 2013-14 men’s basketball schedule, but Tennessee learned Monday two of its games will be part of the league’s ESPN Super Tuesday series.

Both the Vols’ conference opener at LSU on Jan. 7 and a home game against Florida on Feb. 11 will be 7 p.m. ET tip-offs and shown nationally on ESPN Super Tuesday.

Tennessee is one of four SEC programs appearing multiple times on Super Tuesday this season, joining Florida, Kentucky and LSU.

According to an SEC release, last season’s Super Tuesday showcase was the highest-rated college basketball weeknight series on ESPN.

A coinciding UT release said Tennessee’s complete 2013-14 schedule will likely be released in the coming days.

The drip-drip-drip of slowing putting together the Tennessee basketball schedule continues. Put together a dozen press releases from various non-conference schools and other sources, and you can get some idea about the dates and times of UT's non-conference schedule, plus two SEC games now. When does the SEC plan on releasing a conference schedule so that the schools can release their respective schedules? Hopefully the SEC is using this extra time to correct their initial idiotic decision to only have UT and Kentucky play each other once next year.

Kentucky is skeered of the team that has beat them the most of any team in the history of their program. Slive turned his back on the only natural rivalry in SEC ball to accommodate his handlers. Punks.

Hopefully the Florida game is a typo and not really 11:00 pm. I can't see the old geezers that sit down low staying up that late.

I'm not quite a "geezer" but I'd rather not stay up till whenever for a game that starts so late. If it's not a typo then I'll probably go to bed. It will depend on what the tv station is for me anyhow.

The 11 is February 11th. It doesn't show the time of day on that entry.

I think you're right but it could be either way with how it's listed.
