Pay-per-view channels for UT-Austin Peay game released

For those planning to watch Tennessee’s season opener against Austin Peay at their home on television, the channel numbers are in — for some.

Subscribers in the state of Tennessee can order Saturday’s pay-per-view game on Dish Network (channel 461), DirectTV (channel 785) and AT&T U-verse (636).

In the Knoxville area, Comcast customers can order the game for $34.99 and can find the telecast on channel 726.

Information for other area cable systems — like Knology and Charter — was not made available on Thursday.

ESPN GamePlan will offer the game to fans living outside the state of Tennessee only via the ESPN GamePlan package. The game will be blacked out on ESPN GamePlan and ESPN3 in the state of Tennessee and cannot be ordered as part of any ESPN package.

Mike Keith will handle play-by-play duties and will be teamed with former UT and NFL quarterback Pat Ryan. Keith is the voice of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans and is entering his 15th season as the team’s director of broadcasting.

Keith and Ryan teamed together on the radio from 1999-2004 on the Titans Network.

Keith worked UT’s first pay-per-view game and he will broadcast the last one. Keith served as the sideline reporter for Tennessee’s game at UCLA in 1989 while still a UT student. The SEC Network will assume all previously held SEC pay-per-view football rights starting in 2014.
