Brett Huebner has been named chief financial officer and senior associate athletics director at Tennessee, Dave Hart, UT’s Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics, announced on Wednesday.
Huebner, 36, will be responsible for all financial management and business operations for UT Athletics. He joins Tennessee from the University of South Florida, where he has served as the chief financial officer since 2007. Huebner was promoted to senior associate athletics director in 2013 and originally joined USF as the assistant athletics director for business operations and human resources in 2005.
Salary information was not provided by UT. He replaces Bill Myers, who resigned in September for health reasons.
Before joining South Florida, Huebner worked at the University of Miami (Fla.) athletics department as its assistant director of business operations and also as an audit associate in the Milwaukee office of Deloitte and Touche, LLP.
Huebner played baseball at Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. He also has a master of business administration degree in sport management from Florida Atlantic.
