I was watching ESPNU yesterday and saw Coach Jones' smiling face as the fourth (4th) highest paid coach in the country, behind Saban, Mack Brown, and Bret Bielema, and ahead of Bob Stoops. Nearly $5 Million a year! That
is a lot of money not to have seen any improvement in team play over the season. I'm guessing the Ark. fans feel the same way. For all that money, the coaches had better be busting their rear ends recruiting.

I saw that also but think there was a mistake by the U. I cannot quote from memory, but the information released by UT after the hiring was somewhere just over the 3 million mark.
Someone help us with the correct info.

Mistake , but if paying 8 million a yr got us more wins it would be a good investment!

Coach Jones' initial contract numbers included the buyout from Cincinnati which artificially inflates his ranking for that 4th highest bit of talking head fodder. This isn't an ongoing yearly rate, just over 3 mill is correct.
