“We have to get better starts,” point guard Ariel Massengale said afterward. “We are still trying to figure that out, what it is that is going to make us go in the first half.” I might suggest that Holly start Carter, whom I think is the leader of the team. Carter started the SMU game and I thought the Lady Vol's got off to a much better start than they had been. Carter needs to start and play a lot of minutes if Tennesse wants to make a run at a National Championship this year. Harrison needs to stay out of foul trouble and needs to play a lot more minutes as does Russell. Holly does this and she will find the Lady Vol's not only will get off to a better start but they will be blowing people out. I think she would also find that there would be a lot more continuity to the offense and defense. Since Ariel said that they were still trying to figure it out, I just thought I would throw this out there.
