Congrats to Derek for hanging in there and working hard and to CCM for recognizing his effort and giving him a chance. Now it is up to Derek to KEEP doing what he has done lately in practice and last night in the game in order to become a consistent difference-maker for this team.

When I read this in the paper this AM, I decided I would not make any negative statements. Instead I will simply ask questions.

Did Derek just start lifting weights and doing what Zo asked him to do in the past few days between Game 10 and Game 11, one third of the way through the season? Did he gain 15 lbs. of muscle in just those few days? Did he get tougher in just those few days? Does Zo see the same team we have watched for the first 10 games when Derek didn't play? Did Zo realize that Derek could have helped him draw the defenders outside to give room for Stokes and Maymon inside? Did Zo realize that Derek is a pretty decent rebounder with good length? Did Zo think that other players off the bench were better than Derek even when those players could not get the job done repeatedly?

Finally, does Zo think we all just fell off the turnip truck and know nothing about the game such that we would buy into this story? I thought only John Adams would take that approach.
