The skinny: Among all the early commitments, Sanders was certainly the earliest, committing to Derek Dooley's staff way back in the summer of 2011. Because of that, his recruitment contained little drama, despite his high rating. Former UT offensive line coach Sam Pittman, now at Arkansas, made a brief push but Sanders stuck with UT. The Vols had hoped to sign more linemen in this class, so it was essential to hold on to Sanders. He'll likely redshirt and be poised to compete for playing time — and maybe a starting job — in 2014.
