The skinny: Jones picked the Vols over Kansas State, Oklahoma and others, at least in part because UT offered the promise of quick playing time. His early arrival will give him a leg up in a secondary that struggled in 2012. Jones played at a high school powerhouse in SEC country, but didn't qualify, and the new staff won his signature in a rapid recruitment in December.
