Nolan Richardson used to promise 40 minutes of hell. He'll bring 40 minutes of good stories to the Big Orange TipOff Club.
The annual weekly luncheon series returns to Calhoun's on the River, beginning Jan. 9, with Tony White, Tennessee's all-time single-game scoring leader, as the leadoff speaker. Richardson, the former Arkansas coach, and Dave Odom, who coached at both Wake Forest and South Carolina, also are featured speakers.
The lineup includes UT men's coach Cuonzo Martin, Lady Vols coach Holly Warlick, former Lady Vols star Michelle Marciniak and media personalities Jimmy Hyams and John Pennington.
New UT coach Butch Jones will step in with a dose of football.
The TipOff luncheons begin at noon and the public is invited to arrive early to enjoy the buffet and get a good seat.

Arkansas has not been relevant in basketball since Nolan was fired.

So true B2R. Unfortunately for Richardson his departing words caused him to be blackballed in the NCAA. The guy could flat out coach and recruit period.

He was a good BB coach but I'd rather feed the cod off the back deck of Calhoun's than be upstairs listening to him spew his nonsense.
