Marsalis Teague added to NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

Tennessee's Marsalis Teague has committed to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl for draft-eligible seniors.

Teague, who started 24 of 42 career games at UT, will participate in the week of evaluation leading up to the Jan. 19 game at Carson, Calif.

He played cornerback his final three seasons. Herman Lathers, his teammate at UT, will also play in the NFLPA game.

The fact that UT NEEDED him on the field was proof of their lack of talent at that position. Would love to see him succeed, but I can promise you it won't be as a DB

You're right unfortunately. I lost track of how many time Teague got burned as a DB. And Lathers looked slow and out of position especially in the last two games. Good luck to them.

What does NFLPA stand for? Could it be Not For Long Playing Anymore? Did I just type that? No offense to you, Marsalis. I never heard anyone say you didn't give your all for UT today. I hope you are a true VFL. You were screwed when they moved you from wr. Maybe you will get a chance to continue your career as one. Thanks for ditching the reptiles for us and not being with the burger bandits that night like your bud from the FL swamp was.

Lathers played with as much heart as any player could! Teague was a player that was over rated and did not live up to his billing! If he had went to Fla. as he started to he would never hit the field. So you can not go by the stars go by who wants to be a VOL! GO BIG ORANGE! Ask Al Wilson MY VOL!

Marsalis Teague gave his all for Tennessee and has allready graduated ! He was out of position from day one when the idiot Dooley arrived. I wish nothing but the best for Mr. Teague. BTW I saw our former Head Idiot on ESPN Tuesday morning expressing his stupid opinion on Lord Knows What. I immediately changed the channel and now think less of espn. Anyone who doesn`t see Dooley as a fool didn`t watch the Mizzou game ! And while I am at, govolsdid, you Sir are a idiot also !

Easy Guys! hehe I wish him the best of luck as well. I also have no interest in watching Dooley talk about anything. ESPN? C'mon MAN! GBO!

Teague was misused by Dooley. He should have stayed at receiver.

Where did Kiffie have him? Where was greater need for him at wr or db? WR core wasn't hurting so he was played where need was greater in spite of the results...also with minimal pass rush who usually hets burned the most? Ah yes the secondary as they have to cover their guy longer. So the poor coverage isn't always the coverer's fault. Anyway best wishes as you stuck it out and completed your side of the agreement in football. Don't know off hand if completed academic side.

Good luck maybe now he gets a shot at playing WR

Teague was a casualty of being recruited by one coach & misused by two others. He was very athletic, but was used to plug holes that were not his position.
To add to his misery, he played in a defense that required him to try to cover a receiver much too long.
