Nick Reveiz joins Carson-Newman as graduate assistant

Nick Reveiz has joined the Carson-Newman College coaching staff as a graduate assistant and will work with linebackers.

The Farragut High School graduate played linebacker for the Vols from 2007-10

"He doesn't just talk it, he walks it and has done so in several settings," said C-N coach Ken Sparks in a school release. "And now he's in another setting where he can make a difference with our kids. We're just fired up to have him on our staff."

Reveiz said he has spent time in the business world since graduating UT and getting an invitation to training camp by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2011, but quickly accepted the opportunity to get back into football.

"As soon as coach Sparks offered me this opportunity, I knew it was something that I couldn't pass up," Reveiz said in the release. "I'm really excited to dive in and see what this coaching world is like."

I doubt it. It will do him good getting some experience and I'm sure he would love to come to Tennessee down the road; if he is successful and we need a position filled

Too bad Monte didn't give him a shot with the Cowboys, he could have been another Bill Bates.
