With a 72-57 win over Mississippi State win behind and rematch with Ole Miss ahead, Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin spoke to Knoxville media on Tuesday at his weekly press luncheon.
The Vols (9-7, 1-3) are set to travel to Oxford, Miss., on Thursday for a date with the Rebels.
In a 92-74 loss to Ole Miss (15-2, 4-0) on Jan. 9, Rebels guard Marshall Henderson poured in 32 points at Thompson-Boling Arena and added some accompanying trash talk and gestures to the crowd.
Martin was asked if his Vols remember Henderson's display.
"I hope so," he said. "The guy was scoring baskets and making plays. He's allowed to do it."
In response to Trae Golden's recent 10-point, nine-assist performance against Mississippi State as a reserve off the bench, Martin was asked whether the junior point guard is being offered an opportunity earn his starting job back.
"Well, Jordan McRae is the starting point guard right now," he said, "but I think Trae has a lot more in the tank."
