Cordarrelle Patterson invited to All-Star Challenge

Cordarrelle Patterson, who spent a record-setting season at Tennessee before declaring for the NFL draft, will participate in the All-Star Football Challenge on Feb. 2 at Cowboys Stadium, UT announced today.

The event will be broadcast on ESPN2 at 10 a.m. on Feb. 2 and will re-air at the same time a day later.

The challenge is a skills competition for NFL-bound college players. In the program's 14-year history, 46 first-round picks have participated in the event.

Patterson was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2012. He caught 46 passes for 778 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 323 more yards.

Skills competition? CP will blow it up.

He will make a great showing for himself. I wish him well on Sundays...but....his Vol playing days are now over. We, as well as he, must go on in life. GO BIG ORANGE!

Tear it up CP! Hated to see you go after just 1 season with the VOLS, but you did leave a lasting impression! Best of luck in the draft.

Once he gets in front of scouts and works out, his stock will skyrocket. Bright spot from a dismal season. Maybe the Titans can steal him and show Britt the door.

This guy could do some magical things at this event.

If running in a straight line is the challenge, he will do fine. Let's hope there is no "sharp route running" or "making difficult catches" challenges.

I guess I am old school but one year does not make a VFL. The guy was a physical freak, a seemingly nice guy but a mercenary nonetheless.

Those showboating antics will carry over very well in the NFL...

I guess I hope he does well, but he was only a Vol for a few month's then skipped town like so many do. Sign your contract, buy you Bentley but try to act more like Peyton than Ray Lewis.
