Defensive end Jacques Smith and offensive linemen Ja’Wuan James and Antonio “Tiny” Richardson will join coach Butch Jones in representing Tennessee at SEC Media Days next week in Hoover, Ala.

Smith and James are seniors. Richardson is a junior but is widely expected enter the NFL draft after this season.

James is making his second appearance at the media event. He joined quarterback Tyler Bray and linebacker Curtis Maggitt in 2012.

Three three-day event begins July 16. The Vols will be featured on the second day along with Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Texas A&M. All four of the league’s new coaches — Jones, Bret Bielema of Arkansas, Mark Stoops of Kentucky and Gus Malzahn of Auburn — will share the spotlight during Day 2.

Updated at 11:50 a.m. on July 8 to correct the number of new head coaches in the league.

Good Lord, does anyone proof-read this phooey?
"Curtis" Maggitt? Three three-day event?

Guess I shouldn't expect any less from KNS...

Also the other day in the paper they showed UT with seven 4-star commits and the article said they have only five. Does anyone know which is correct? Or is one of the totals according to Rivals and the other 24/7?

Glad to see Jacques on the list. Gotta mean a solid summer.

Wonder how often the Aaron Hernandez-Urban Meyer fiasco will be brought up to Florida officials at media days? Has to be embarrassing for them. Heard one pundit today say that it was common knowledge that Meyer had recruited a bunch of questionable character to play at Florida just for the sake of wins and he ignored a ton of offenses down there to keep people on the field. (And that includes Hernandez several times.) And now he is disavowing all knowledge of the mess he left. The more that comes out, it sounds like they were running the Florida State Penitentiary at Gainesville. Those national titles under Meyer are starting to look pretty hollow.

Funny you should mention Prince Willie of the Neck Vein. That same pundit on the radio said that Meyer had actually called Muschamp after he left and apologized for the mess he had left. One that Muschamp has had to clean up. Hate to give him credit but he seems to have done what Meyer wouldn't do.

We all know why Meyer left Florida. It will be interesting to see what happens at ;0) St. The soap opra continues. When its messy at Ohio St. will he become ill and leave, like he did at Florida or hang in there with Ohio St. through thick and thin. We will see!
GO VOLS!!

Rivals and Scout both show The Big Orange with seven four star recruites. I dont't care about 24/7.
Keep up the Good Work Coach Jones!

Media Days, once again being held at Hoover, Alabama, since it's so convenient for the Gumps. I do recall Slive saying that he would move Media Days out of Hoover after the Alabama fans harassed Fulmer to the point that he didn't even show up for the event one year. Slive lied.

Mike Slime is in bed with cheaters like Aubie/bammer. He's afraid he'll end up like Logan Young.
