Josh Baney hired as video coordinator for Lady Vols basketball

Holly Warlick announced Friday that Josh Baney has been hired as the video coordinator for the Tennessee women’s basketball team.

Baney replaces Michael Fahey, who spent two seasons with the Lady Vols before joining the DePaul women’s basketball program as video coordinator on Monday. Chicago is Fahey’s hometown.

“I am extremely pleased to keep a quality person like Josh Baney on our staff,” Warlick said in a school release. “He and Michael (Fahey) worked together closely, and he understands the technical aspects and the demands of the job. Josh has been part of this program for quite some time, and I believe he enables us to make a seamless transition with our video coordinator position and continue to further develop that area to the benefit of our coaches and players.”

After serving as a graduate assistant for the 2012-13 season, Baney added the role of camp coordinator this summer but now will focus solely on managing the Lady Vols’ tape exchange and breakdown of practice and game footage.

Baney attended Tennessee from 2001-05 and earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He was a practice player for the Lady Vols for three seasons.
