Raven Chavanne was 2-for-3 with an RBI-double and scored a run to help Team USA to an 8-1, five-inning victory over Venezuela late Thursday in the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship in Surrey, British Columbia.

The former Tennessee star started at third base and batted leadoff. Former UT star Lauren Gibson, who extending her Team USA hitting streak this summer to seven games earlier in the day in a win against Australia, did not play.

The U.S. concluded pool play late Friday against host nation Canada at 9:30 p.m. Eastern.
