Former Vol J.P. Arencibia gives up Twitter

TORONTO — J.P. Arencibia has quit Twitter.

The Toronto Blue Jays catcher and former University of Tennessee standout tweeted his farewell and deleted his @jparencibia9 account Tuesday.

Arencibia says he was giving “way too much” of himself, thanked fans who supported him and added that he was “praying for the others that hate.”

Earlier this month, Arencibia lashed out at Canadian analysts Dirk Hayhurst and Gregg Zaun. Batting .219 this season, Arencibia has made five errors, allowed 34 stolen bases and 10 passed balls.

The Jays are last in the American League East, 13.5 games back with a 45-53 record entering play Tuesday night.

I was about to make fun of the author than saw it was from the Associated Press. That's apparently what qualifies as news these days.

He didn't really stop. He saw that Carlos Danger became available and nabbed it for himself.

I don't know why any sane person would start to "twitter".

Carlos Danger is without a doubt a sex addict and if elected to that office will bring GREAT embarrassment on that city. Sad really. The only way for him to defeat that demon is with SERIOUS, LONGTERM counselling....Wow...what a day we live in...

Does anyone really care? I've never heard of the guy. I think the back up catcher for the 1985 Vols team gave up smoking as well but no one cares.

Hey Wet Humper I don't keep up with sissy overpaid players like you do. You can support all the druggies but I do not. You are probably one of the twitter freakies too huh?
People like you and other twitter followers need to get a life and take care of their families instead of twittering all the time. I do NOT CARE......

Bet you wouldn't call him a sissy to his face you keyboard hero. What are you doing on here anyway, shouldn't you be following your own advice and taking care of your family instead of typing useless messages. JP was drafted 21st overall just 7 spots behind Jason Heyward. You heard of that sissy? I'd say getting drafted in the first round is a pretty good accomplishment for a backup catcher.. Your baseball IQ sucks just try to stick to another subject. Then again maybe your IQ just sucks period.
