UT hires Erika Brennan as women's assistant golf coach

Erika Brennan has joined the Tennessee women’s golf team as an assistant coach.

Brennan, a 2006 graduate of Western Carolina, was head coach of Saint Leo’s women’s program the past five seasons.

She replaces Jan Dowling, who left to become head coach at Michigan. Salary information for Brennan was not released by UT.

“I’m really excited about Erika joining our staff at Tennessee,” UT coach Judi Pavon said in a school release. “She has a very solid golf background and will bring new energy and ideas to our program. She is a go-getter and will be instrumental in helping us reach our goals.”

Under Brennan, Saint Leo advanced to its first NCAA tournament in 2010 and has made the tournament each season since. The Lions finished this past season ranked 21st .
