Men's tennis bounces back quickly against Georgia Tech

After losing at Georgia on Friday, Tennessee responded with a 4-0 thrashing of Georgia Tech at Ken Byers Tennis Complex in Atlanta.

The Vols (13-4) clinched the doubles point in two matches. Jarryd Chaplin and Brandon Fickey scored a quick 8-2 victory and Edward Jones and John Collins won 8-6.

Mikelis Libietis and Hunter Reese, the No. 1 doubles from last season, paried up for the first time this season and led 6-5 win the Vols clinched the point.

Quick was also the name of the game in singles as No. 13 Libietis won in less than an hour and Taylor Patrick and John Collins also won in straight sets. The Vols led two of the three unfinished matches and Reese was tied 6-6 with his opponent in the first set.

Tennessee has more conference action next week with visits to Mississippi State and Mississippi.
