What should be an exciting time for Tennessee's Jordan McRae, fresh off of week which saw him average 31 points per game against Florida and Georgia, instead turned tragic overnight.
The Vols' junior had this to say on his Twitter account this morning:
Jordan McRae's Tweet
RIP to my cousin who was shot and killed last night.
— Jordan McRae (@JordyMac52) March 5, 2013
McRae's on-court stock has risen dramatically in recent weeks, leading some to speculate on his potential candidacy for SEC player of the year honors, or whether or not he might consider going pro early.

Losing a member of the family is tough, and is even tougher when violence is involved. Hang in there young man. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Congrats to all the posters so far who didn't go overboard with negative assertions about Jordan and his family that NO information given out so far would support in any way. Any violent death is a tragedy; one involving a family member is even more of one.
