Whoa! These guys lost to Indiana by only 15? True, Indiana was probably less interested in running up the score than they were in trying to replace at least two All-America-type players in Zeller and Oladipo from last year, and that was probably Southern's "game of the year", but STILL! No question Stokes and Maymon will get a good test tonight. Hope Maymon's timing is better than it was last time and that he and Stokes can stay out of foul trouble.

Stokes looks great..the team depth and speed looks much better..the Xavier game will show us a bit more where we are..win that one and it will do wonders for team confidence..

Yeah, that's going to be one tough opener. Facing a well-coached team at home while trying to adjust to the new rules will tell us a lot about this year's team. A win would do wonders for their confidence going forward and would likely put them in the top-25 right away. A bad loss might cause serious doubts among the players and deepen any skepticism the national media might have about them. Sure hope they shoot better than they did last night! Much of that will depend on whether Barton is up to game speed and on the same page with the rest of them.
