This team looks the same as every year under Conzo, there is not one player that has improved as a player since CCM took the reins. Stokes looks the same as the first game he stepped on the court. It is starting to look apparent that CCM is not much of a coach.

At this point ..it is hard to find reason to disagree..I am not sure Stokes is as good now as he was his first game..Richardson and Moore look about the same..Edwards looks to me like he is far better than either when he gets in games..which isn't often..I have lost confidence in the ability of this staff to even know who their best players are ..much less help them get better..

I will always feel that big men should try to put the ball high up on the backboard more than they do. Most of those shots off of offensive rebounds are left short, partly because they are always trying to get them JUST over rim. If you go up with the intent of getting it up on the board, it might still go in even if they are grabbing your arms. As the old saying goes about putting in golf, "never up, never in".

PS to all: I have mentioned this on a couple of other threads, but it bears repeating. Michigan State had only a two-point lead on their home court with four minutes to go over Columbia of the Ivy League before winning by nine. USC-Upstate is among the favorites to win the Atlantic Sun Conference while Columbia will be a surprise if they finish in the upper half of the Ivy League.

The bottom line is that everybody is still feeling their way into the season with the new rules and officiating emphasis. The Vols do need to refine their rotation a bit. Players do need to understand their roles better. This team is still a work in progress, but it is just dumb to think they won't MAKE any progress.

John ..it may be dumb to think they won't make any progress..but will that progress be enough to make the big show..I think we got another NIT team ..at best..the SEC is not likely to have more than 3 teams in..look at the current record of the SEC ..
