They’ve seen it all, and too much of what they saw was heartbreaking.

The Fulmer curse lives on. Should have never fired him. Hamilton's bad moves as an AD have almost single handily killed our men's sports programs.

LOL....the "Curse of Phil Fulmer." I actually thought about that after the Georgia game. I really liked Fulmer (and still do) and he did some truly GREAT things at Tennessee. However, what I minded most about his dismissal was two things; FIRST: The way it was done in mid-season! That was shabby and the man deserved better. Nothing was gained by that public spectacle and we ALL looked bad. SECOND: Hamilton had absolutely NO game plan as to how Fulmer would be replaced or how we would upgrade the program. NONE! That was clearly evidenced by the way the hiring was done and who he ultimately chose. I won't go into all the other Hamilton shortcomings, they are well documented here, but to say the least, he set us back 50 years. Let's hope Butch can bring us back.....I still think he will get us up to Tennessee football by his third year like he did at his last two stops.

Another head scratching review came in the loss at Lexington 2 years ago. In Kentucky's winning touchdown drive, they clearly fumbled the ball inside the 10 and Tennessee clearly recovered, yet the replay official ruled "inconclusive" video evidence while keeping his UK tramp stamp covered and out of sight.
